The word hope is often used in His Word.  In Koine Greek it is &quot;elpis&quot; but it&#039;s original meaning was &quot;a confident expectation,&quot; never maybe.  This gives more weight to verses like Romans 15:13, 1 Thes 5:8, Tituis 1:2 &amp; 2:13,  Hebrews 3:6, etc.  Most all NT &quot;hopes&quot; are STGs #1680.  Read them with this understanding and enjoy His promises even more.
